High Strung Community! It’s been a while since our last blog post, but things have been busy at the shop as usual. You, our beloved customers, jammers, teachers, and students, have continued to give positive feedback on the retail space at 1803 W. Markham, and the new location has helped your numbers grow. We had another busy rental season, getting Durham and Chapel Hill’s strings students outfitted for the new school year, and then, all of a sudden, it was late October! Time for Halloween, my favorite Holiday, and a Halloween-themed event for the High Strung Petting Zoo.

Last weekend marked the first concert of the season for our friends, the Durham Symphony Orchestra, and they went all out! The Halloween Spooktacular was much more than just a concert, and included food trucks, a kid’s costume contest, the Faith Baptist Church children’s choir, local puppet theater masters, Paperhand Puppet Intervention, and of course, the High Strung Petting Zoo. Free and open to the public, the community showed up, and loved it! Enjoy the photos!
